The Trimble S8 Total Station works with Trimble Survey Controller™ field software and Trimble® 4D Control™ processing software to provide a complete and seamlessly-connected solution for engineering jobs.

With 1" angular accuracy and EDM precision of 1 mm + 1 ppm, the Trimble S8 is equipped with unique features to support engineering jobs, including:

• Trimble® FineLock™ technology: FineLock technology is a smart target sensor with a narrow field of view. It enables the Trimble S8 to detect a target without interference from surrounding prisms. This is especially useful in engineering applications such as monitoring and tunneling where multiple targets with very tight spacing are used
• 10 Hz high-speed synchronized data output makes data collection faster and more accurate, e.g., during railway monitoring a trolley or ATV, the prism can move more quickly without compromising accuracy
• Trimble eProtect™ security uses a 4-digit password to prevent access by unauthorized users
